It seems official: the battery in my 4040 will not hold a charge.
Lucky me, I get to deal with Meg's service.
But while playing with the Reset I found the Venus3 menu.
Press and hold the reset button, then press and holding the Power
button.
I got a blue screen (BSOD, anyone?) with the following menu choices:
Venus3 UT R06
0=WINCE Upgrade
1=GPS Tools
2=BT Tools
3=UBOOT Upgrade
4=Memory Tools
5=Other Tools
Choice: 0
To move among the choices, press Reset.
To select a choice, press Power and hold it for a long second.
Sub menues:
0=WINCE Upgrade
0=WINCE by SD/MMC (Format)
1=WINCE by SD/MMC
2=WINCE by USB (Format)
3=WINCE by USB
4=EXIT
1=GPS Tools
0=Gps Updating
1=Gps Test
2=Exit
2=BT Tools
0=BT Test Mode
1=Write BT MAC
2=Exit
3=UBOOT Upgrade
0=UBOOT by USB
1=UBOOT by SD/MAC
2=Exit
4=Memory Tools
0=ROM CheckSum
1=Memory Test
2=Exit
5=Other Tools
0=CPLD Upgrade by SD/MMC
1=CPLD Upgrade by USB
2=Read CPLD user code
3=Download & Run
4=Nand Tools
5=Nand Bad Block Check
6=Nand Ecc Check
7=Format
8=Exit
Anyone know what the CPLD user code is? Mine is ff57ff37 which is
decimal 4283957047 and binary 11111111010101111111111100110111
or:
Hex = Decimal = ASCII
ff = 255
57 = 87 W
ff = 255
37 = 55 7
Enjoy!
