A friend of mine is returning to the UK after living in america for several
years.

She has a TomTom (I think its the same as my UK 720) loaded with maps of
Florida - not sure if it has any other states.

Can she just buy UK maps fro TomTom, or not, or is there a better/cheaper
way? ;-)

She can buy the Western Europe map through her "TomTom home" service
before she returns. She may need to transfer her US maps to her
computer first to make room before she downloads it, though.

The crude version of the answer is JFGI. You'll probably get an out of

Download it off the net.

Depending on which tomtom she has, you may even be able to
give her your copy of the british map if you know what you are
doing and know how to deal with the serial number issues. The
detail on that is available on the net too.

Ahhh! Thanks for the link.

I know I can JFGI, but by getting a recommendation from someone who has used
something and know it works is often better! :-)
