When in France my TomTom one v.3 has crashed so that it went to and through
the initial setup (language>time...voice) but at the voice selection point
it froze. After a while it went back to start and it was forever in this
loop. Hard reset did not help. The result was that we had to drive home
using the maps and nearly missed the ferry.
When I connected it to Home on my return, it went through the usual update
and again into the initial setup. However this time (using the Home rather
than the unit itself) I was able to complete the setup and it appears now to
work again. Has anyone come across something like this and is there anything
else I could have done while still abroad and without PC with Home to revive
the unit?
