For instance, I downloaded the Start 20 series Reference Guide (PDF)
and on page 8 it says:
"2. Start a browser and go to tomtom.com/getstarted.
3. Click Download now.
Your browser downloads the MyTomTom support application, which you
need to install on your computer in order to connect your device to
MyTomTom. Follow the instructions on the screen if you are asked
questions while downloading."
Yet when I visit the getstarted page in question I see the following:
"MyTomTom is currently available for the following devices:
GO 1000 Series
Via Series
Sony XNV Navigation Module"
**That is, the Start 20 is not mentioned.**
But underneath the blue Download now button, it says:
"Different device? Download TomTom HOME2"
So that implies that the Start 20, i.e. not a GO 1000, not a Via etc,
therefore a "different device", should use the HOME2 version.
Which is correct?
