Hello,

My Tom Tom 300 says that I have run out of space to put favorites in. I have
only put in about 30 items is this correct. Can the favorites file be made
larger?

I'm not aware of any specific limit on the nuber of favourites - are you
sure that you haven't just run out of memory on the SD card? How much spare
space does it have? [Hint: connect the 300 to your computer with the USB
cable, and look at properties in Explorer]

If there *is* a limit on favourites, there's nothing to stop you from
creating a POI category called "Favourite POIs" or somesuch, and putting all
your favourite locations in that. You can have literally *thousands* of POIs
in that - limited only by SD card space.

I've come across the same problem with my G0 500. I couldn't enter a new POI
category (the name was being accepted and the file stored, but it couldn't
be seen on the enter POI screen, or delete POI category screen!) so was
adding sites to the favourites instead - and also ran up against the maximum
number of favourites. I then found that you can only have 26 (or some say
27) POI categories so have had to combine several categories into one. There
seems to be no realistic limit to the number of POIs per category though.

Think of 'favourites' as a scratch pad for the temporary storage of
destinations apart from 'Home' as these are limted in number.

For better control, create your own POI Groups such as 'Family', 'Friends',
'Good Pubs' etc and store locations in these.
