My Tom can't seem to learn where "Home" is. I have tried deleting the
existing "Home" and re-installing it with:
1. Coordinates
2. Street address
3. "My location"

I have also tried establishing a new "Home" and having Tom replace the
existing Home with these three items.

Each time Tom thinks Home is 104 miles away.

Should I do a total reset and start all over?

Don't worry about it.

If someone nicks your car, they use your satnav to go to your home and if
you happen to have left your house keys in the car........

Which is why my satnav has the home address set to near where I work....

If I'm too far gone to remember my way home from there, I shouldn't be
behind the wheel, IMO.

Not much help with getting it to remember the location, unfortunately,
but something to bear in mind.

If you were to say *which* Tomtom you've got, maybe someone could help
with that. ;-)

Pity about who else is still in the house and will likely
notice when some crim shows up in the family's car.

Makes more sense to use one of the neighbour's houses if you are that paranoid.

The one with the rottweiler and shotgun wielding occupant.

You'll get a more efficient route to the neighbour's house and the
rottweiler barking should remind you that its the neighbour's house.

And which map version, its most likely something to do with that.

Or perhaps the local police station? :-)

Likely even the stupidest crim will actually notice that its the police station.

Corse my approach doesnt work as well if you dont have a neighbour
with a rottweiler and a shotgun and who loves to use them.

Works for me - GO910, App 9.026.483454.1, map
Western_and_Central_Europe_845_2645 v845_2645
Also worked for App 7.9 & map 7xx
But I don't use it, I use Navigate to Postcode when I don't know how to get
out of a 'strange' town.

The answer was quite easy. Under Preferences, there was an option to
establish a new Home. I put the correct data in and now every thing is
fine.
