It takes me 5 times as long to go somewhere

It takes me 5 times as long to go somewhere since I got a TomTom GPS.

For example, it used to take me about an hour to drive 50 miles
without the GPS. Now it takes me 5 hours to go the same distance with
the GPS.

The TomTom keeps telling me stuff like "In 500 yards turn Left".
Ok, so I got to stop the car, get out, and use my 100 foot tape
measure to measure out 500 yards. That takes a lot of time to do. I
have not yet been able to find a tape measure longer than 100 feet.
Sometimes it says even larger numbers, like 800 yards. That takes a
long time to walk and measure, and I have to make a lot of chalk marks
on the road. Like how else am I supposed to know how much 200 or 500
or 800 yards is, without measuring it. Everytime I need to turn, I
spend a half hour or more walking around on the highway with my tape
measure. I've been pulled over by the police several times being
asked what I was doing. Of course I just tell them what the GPS said.
They just tell me to stay off the highway and measure on the shoulder.
But I can make chalk marks at the end of the tape measure on gravel,
so I have to do it on pavement.

If my car had an odometer that showed yards, it would not be a
problem, but it only shows miles. I thought these GPSs were supposed
to make travelling easier and faster. They sure do not.

Paul

I sure hope the above is a joke. If it's not, you shouldn't be
driving.

If it wasn't it sure came across that way.
Whomever did it has a good imagination.

I tried to picture someone doing all that, all I could do was laugh.

No, you're confusing that with yourself.

One or the other. Best to just have a chuckle, if that's how it strikes
you, and move on.

Nope, because he keeps doing it time after time after time.

With a significant pause in the trolling attempts time wise.
