I see no word on whether TTS for turn-by-turn street naming is supported.

I would dearly love to have TomTom v8 with TTS running on a GSM phone and I

I have found it a complete gimmick, it has never helped me to know the
name of the street I am about to turn into.

I find it invaluable in safely and accurately navigating ramps and exits on
highway (freeway, motorway, autobahn etc) interchanges and junctions and I
would never consider buying any new devices that lack the feature.
