I am using this attachment with my TomTom 930T.

It has extreme difficulty picking up the radio signal.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I might improve its ability to pick up
the RDS-TMC radio signal?

Regards

You almost certainly need to run the aerial up the side and along the top
of your windscreen.
If your windscreen is of the type that blocks sunlight dazzle or has a
heating layer, then you will continue to have problems. You will need to
extend the aerial out of a window and place a magnetic aerial on the roof.

I totally failed to get my RDS-TMS working with my 530T and instead use the
system that downloads traffic info from my mobile phone.

Gentlemen

I have now done some research of my own regarding the positioning of the
aerial.

I have my Tom Tom located in the right-hand corner of the windscreen. I
fitted two additional suckers (from my spares box) and ran the aerial up the
right hand edge of the windscreen and then horizontally along the top of the
windscreen towards the passenger side. The aerial is now extended to its
fullest extent.

The reception of the RDS-TMC signal is vastly improved.

What experiences have members of the group had with the HD traffic system?

Thanks Walt, I nearly posted something along the same lines last
night, but thought I may hurt some peoples feelings. It's funny how
some people think that aeriels can just be coiled up & thrown in the
corner, out of the way, expecting them to work, isn't it...

Did your research include: TT in centre bottom of windscreen, aerial left,
up then right across top? She who must be obeyed wants TT in centre.

If the aerial is long enough, this should give you very good reception.

TT in lower centre of screen, run aeriel along bottom to edge & then
up screen, hint uncoil it to get it laid out in some type of line
