This looked like the ideal gadget for me but I can't get it to work and
wondered if anyone else who has one can tell me what if anything I am
doing wrong. It may be the answer is "you bought an i-gotu GT-100" ...
i-gotu number one would not work at all. Plugged it in to the USB port
and nothing happened - computer couldn't see it at all. Went back to
shop and got it replaced.
i-gotu number two worked first time out of the box. Cool. Took it for a
walk, came back, downloaded track, uploaded into Google Earth. Cool!
Subsequent attempts to use it have failed however. It is fully charged
and after removing it from the cradle one long press of the button gets
me a flash of the blue LED, but that's it. I single short press of the
button to check the status gives me no lights at all, and another long
press does not give me the expected red light. The software recognises
the device and asks me if I want to upload tracks. I do, and it does,
but there is no data.
I have tried using the software to reset the device to factory settings
but that seems to change nothing. The only way I can get it to do
anything is to put it back on the cradle. Thereafter it will give me the
one flash of the blue LED again, but nothing thereafter.
Have a bought another lemon? :-(
I tried using the i-gotu support page but it is broken.
Am thinking of creating a new youtube video entitled "What Happens When
You Put an i-gotu in a Blender".
