POI Confusion

Hi, I am a new user and I am totally confused about POI's on my new TomTom
730. I don't have a whole let checked to show, but for this example, let's
talk about gas stations, restaurants and post office. I also downloaded and
installed a custom POI and bmp icon from the poi factory for all 7 eleven
stores.

Here's my confusion. Some of the local POI's show up about one block or so
off. Sometimes they show with the generic b&w icon, sometimes with a
colored icon like the hardees up the street. The 7-11 as a part of the
custom file does not show at all on the ma when driving.

For the 7 11, I hit map correction and when I go home to move the POI, it
shows the 7-11 icon on the GPS screen (operating from HOME) properly on the
screen. When I try to find it to edit anyway, it only give me a list of the
tomtom provided groups, no 7-11's are listed, especially my custom. Also,
when I tried to move the hardees icon to the right spot, it took in HOME and
saved, but the next morning when driving, it's still in the old place.

Can you help a sister out? I'm soooo confused and am pretty neurotic about
seeing my usual ones in the right spot. Appreciate any help and good
resources that can help me learn about these.

Thank you.
