Crosstool, help with cross compilation
I used crosstool and the only problem I had was that "dash" needed to be
replaced with "bash". Found they had the same problem with the Sony PSP,

Dijkstra's Navigation Algorithm
What did you say, PATENTS?? This is a public algorithm on howto make a
navigation really work. There are a lot more of these algorithms available.

Navit for the TomTom
Attempts toc compile Navit, it seems we need to compile all dependencies,
and under redhat, it should be done using a tool called "mach"?

Navit, Home Page
Navit is an open source (GPL) car navigation software for Linux systems. It
will display your position on a map (in bird-view mode or as a
3D "visualization") from GPS sensor data, and can provide precise route
calculation, touch screen functionality and supports Points of Interest
(POI), which can be extended via an easy to use plugin system. Unlike other
navigation systems, Navit maps are dynamically generated in real time from
vector data.

Quadtrees, spatial index.
Probably the fastest way to index spatial data is the quadtree. This is just
a "philosophical" discussion, we will not need it *now" ;-) Could be
implemented as a file system with directories North, East, South, West and
rules to fit these tiles together...

mach, to help cross compilation and address dependencies
I haven't even tried it yet, but it looks a nice promise to issue a "make
world" and go on holliday .. with the desired software...
