Got the Nuvi 880 today, and it's pretty nice. But it could use two
improvements in the speech recognition.
If you say "Find Favorites", you are presented with your favorites with
the onscreen ones numbered. But you don't HAVE to say a number -- at
that point you can just say the name of the Favorite, like "Jim's
House", and it finds it. Very nice! Especially when the Favorite is 15
screens down and you don't want to keep paging down...
Now, when you are say in the Main Menu, or looking at the map, you can
also "string together" commands, as in "Find nearest italian
restaurant". But you can't string them together with the "Find
Favorites" command -- i.e., you CAN'T yet say "Find Favorites Jim's
House".
So that should be fixed. But even better would be where it would be
possible from anywhere to say "Go To Jim's House", where "Go To" is
always expected to be followed by a Favorite's name. "Go To" is less
verbose and just plain simpler than "Find Favorites".
