NaviGo by Maptuit is the Navigation program provided on the Qualcomm
MCP200 for big trucks. The Nuvi465t is one of a few Nuvi models that
Garmin designed for commercial big trucks.
I plotted a route for both devices going from Deer Park, TX to Hayward, CA.
NaviGo said take TX 375-LOOP around El Paso where the Nuvi said to take
I-10 straight through. TX-375 Loop would have been a huge mistake
because of the difficult climb a loaded truck would have to make over
the mountain between US 54 and I-10. A very dumb move!
NaviGo also had the route departing I-10 at Lordsburg, NM taking out
across US-70. It would leave what is a fairly level, multilane,
continuous, I-10 for 2 lane highway going through many towns and lights,
over mountains and whatever just to save a few miles, (about 60 out of a
near 1900 mile trip) and costing the driver much more time and fuel. The
Nuvi stuck to I-10, I-210, I-5, etc. A much simpler and safer route.
To be sure, there is NO GPS that can be just blindly followed. The
DRIVER always takes the responsibility for what route he chooses.
However, on THAT route I'd have to say that NaviGo did pretty lousy.
