Hi.

I've purchased a second-hand nüvi 250, which I'm gonna use on my motorcycle.

To be able to listen to the spoken commands, I have thought of mounting a
3,5mm mini-jack, so I can transfer the sound to my intercom. But - how do I
open the actual gps enclosure? I can't locate any screws. And I don't feel
like just breaking the enclosure open, since it has to be possible to be
reassembled.

And, no, another model with bluetooth is not an option. I have that in my
helmet, but it's singlepoint, and in use for my phone. So it has to be a
wired solution.

Any ideas?

Jens-

I purchased a replacement battery for my Nuvi 350 from
<http://www.batteryship.com/>, which came with tools needed to open the
case.

On the Nuvi 350, there are a couple of tiny torx or hex screws holding
the antenna together. When the antenna is disassembled, a couple more
tiny screws are visible that hold the body case together. Finally, a
plastic pry-tool is used to separate the body case halves.

No doubt the Nuvi 250 may be slightly different, but the process is
probably the same. Good luck on finding space for a jack, if it doesn't
already have one!

Thanks for the follow-up!

I was listening to Ravel's Bolero in the background of the video while
Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 was playing on the radio. I guess I'm
weird...

My only disappointment was that the video ended with Bolero fading out
before its end :-)
