*** GENERAL MESSAGE TO ALL GPS USERS *** On approximately 01 FEB 2012
SVN49 will resume transmitting L-band utilizing PRN24. At L-band
activation, SVN49/PRN24 will be unusable until further notice.
Additionally, no broadcast almanacs will include SVN49/PRN24. Future
NANUs will inform users of any changes to the above-stated status.

Most interesting. So all 32 PRN's will be transmitting. What
compromise are they testing to salvage the satellite?

It won't be in the almanac and it will be set to unhealthy so 'properly'
configured receivers won't see it at all.

I'm not sure that it is of benefit to put this bird healthy. I'd like
it if I could tell my receivers to mask this bird off if it does come
back healthy.
