Finally broke down and bought one at Sam's Club for $99. While it doesn't
have all the features of our old 130s which I bought years ago on E-Bay for
$165, it does have the lifetime maps and a wider screen.

The only major negatives are it doesn't have the lock feature where you
enter a four digit code to unlock it when you turn it on and the problem
with lane guidance is still there where it tells you to stay in the right
lane and almost in the same breath get into the left lane and turn left.

It would be nice to know about "a turn was missed, re-routing" instead of
not knowing and as some people note they go around in circles missing the
same turn.

With that and the loss of the features guess I'd recommend Garmin if you can
find one with free maps at close to the same price.

Oops, The wife reminded me of that problems connecting and unconnecting the
mini usb plug to the unit certainly no improvement there and it looks like
the auto shutdown feature isn't there anymore.

Oh and oops, oops, It takes a while longer finding satellites guess the old
GPSfix that helped speed things up doesn't apply to this evidentially
'stripped down' model.

Or it takes a bit of time for that to kick in with a new one.
