Hi there. Can anyone help/advise me with a problem that has arisen wit
my Navman478?
I switched it on the other day and all that appeared on the screen was
picture of a PC and what is obviously my satnav and a symbol indicatin
a requirement to connect the two.Having done this nothing happens.
Is my satnav knackered or is there any way to salvage it?
Any help would be appreciated.Thank

I have no answers, but some questions:

1. Have you managed to connect your SatNav to the PC before?
2. Is there software that needs loading on the PC?
3. Did you load it? :-)
4. What sort of connection is used? USB/Bluetooth/etc.

My TomTom doesn't activate the USB connection under some
circumstances. Unplugging/re-plugging the USB cable once the device is
fully powered up gets around this. It doesn't matter (to my TomTom)
which end you unplug, but I always go for the PC end, as the socket on
my TomTom acts like a reluctant virgin even after a years worth of
use.
