I downloaded and installed on my netbook Garmin MobilePC. It looks asif
evrything is working fine. However there is no map to be seen. How can I
get a map in MobliePC? The help doesn't help in this case and neither
the manual.

The latest/last version of Garmin Mobile PC as downloaded comes without
any maps.

It requires a basemap (GMAPBMAP.IMG) and detail maps (GMAPPROM.IMG,
GMAPPROM1.IMG, GMAPSUPP.IMG). Up to three detail maps are possible in
this version.

Suggest you go to this site: http://www.noeman.org/gsm/garmin-gps-system/
and do some reading and research to find out how this is accomplished.

That is hard to believe. That is unfortunate because the site contains many
Tutorials on the subject to answer you questions and provides answers to
questions you have not even asked yet.

The site also provides links to downloadable basemaps and provides
additional tutorials of how with Mapsource you get detail maps into Garmin
Mobile PC or other Garmin devices,

yes, I registered, and I am getting crazy of all those ad's. Each page
starts with an ad that fills the whole screen, so I have always to
scroll to read something.
I searched on the keyword MobilePC and got 25 hits. None of them tells
me how I can get a map into mobilepc. I have several mapsets for
Mapsource and I want to install one of them in MobilePC, but how?

Garmin Mobile PC includes map data, so you should be able to see maps as
soon you launch the application after installing it on your computer.

Are you installing from the original purchased DVD?
