My Go 720, purchased reconditioned, has map North_America_2G_845.xxxx.

Is North_America_2G_855.xxxx a compatable updated map, or does the 845
designation define the unit's requirement?

To me, it appears that the 855 would represent a newer map, fully
compatable, while the increases in the xxxx series represent minor
fixes or updates to the particular map.

If from explorer I save the map related 845 files to an archive, and
delete them from the Go 720, then copy the 855 related files to the
same upper directory, will this functionally update the map on the Go
720, or is there any other tweak to the installation required, such as
a registry change?
