Map 2008/2009 update on Maestro 4040

I have a 4040. Purchased the map update (v 31). It won't update my
4040 - something about an invalid unit (note - it was a factory
refurb). I sent Magellan an email through their online page inquiry -
no response.

Does anyone have a direct number for Magellan?

Inside the lid of my box is a sticker with this number: 800-707-9971

Had the same problem, use DVD 2. Each DVD has the models it will
update listed on the front.
