Hi,

I want to try the Magellan Maestro 3250 firmware on my 3225. Before I
do that, how can I backup and restore the firmware of my unit?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Magellan Maestro 3225 firmware : 1.26
Magellan Maestro 3250 firmware : 2.24

This is NOT a wise thing to do. You might end up with an expensive
"brick".

If you want the additional features, sell yours and buy another one.

It is not really "firmware". Set your host computer to see system and
hidden files. Connect to the GPS via the USB port and copy everything.

It may not work when copied to a different unit.......and may not work when
restored to the original unit either.
