When I talked to the guy at Corporate he really didn't know which model was
available. That was the point at which I had the most bargaining power but I
let the opportunity slip by mainly because I was not familar with the entire
Magellan line and was simply willing to settle for anything except an Exxon
road map!

Yep, I had about $1,200 tied up in my 760 and we had given our daughter a
760 Christmas of 2006 which had dropped to about half. That 760 is in the
town dump because the screen dropped down and Magellan couldn't fix it. I
really liked the 760 but this 3200 suits me fine. Much more compact and I
can slip it into my shirt pocket as I dismount or exit my vehicle. I'll
never update the maps (3Q07) because it is simply not worth the hassle.
One other item - I purchased a Toshiba laptop with a one year warranty and
put it on my American Express card April 2006. AX matches the manufacturers
warranty. So yesterday the Toshiba coughed up a lung. I called AX and they
are processing my claim - no Indians involved - no fuss - no hassle. I was
told that they would either authorize a repair depot to fix it or replace
the unit. That is worth the price of the card ($55 per year). Don't leave
home without it when purchasing anything with a warranty.
