My receiver is a Mariner (same as Venture except a non-transparent
white cover instead the transparent green), Bravo ver. 7.
Update to Legend v3.40 first seemed to work, but the on/off button was
without function (so turning the unit off or resetting the unit isn't
possible) and when I clicked on the menu option "Use With GPS Off" the
display turned off (the unit itself stayed on, so I was able to reload
the Venture software). Then I tried updates to v3.20 and v3.50 with
the same result.
Update to Legend 2.22 worked properly (file size 2.xx smaller than 1
MB, 3.xx larger than 1 MB!), but this software has not the benefit of
10k WP etc.
Update to Vista 3.50 (regarding experiments were briefly described by
someone in this group or in alt.satellite.gps) fails like mah
described for the update to Legend.
Obviously I have to be satisfied with my Mariner/Venture like I was
before I heard about those upgrades :,-(
