Hi,

I understand that when a gps receiver determines its position, it has an accuracy of 5-10 m. However, once the car starts moving, will the updates be relatively accurate or will the accuracy change? For example, if I am initially at position x, then when I move by 10 m, will my position be x+10 or will that have an additional error of its own and show it as say x+15?

Even if you move a inch or a kilometer, the accuracy level will remain the same i.e. 5-10 meters. But to increase the accuracy level engineers have created a new idea of Differential GPS (DGPS).
