Hi,

I need a GPS that will work continuously for at least 24 hours. It
doesn't need to have a fancy display - in fact it doesn't need a display
at all. All I need is a device that will record my location for 24 hours
and the abilty to download the data to my computer.

Any suggestions?

Claims it'll give 20 hours on two NiMH batteries. Use two ultra high
capacity ones and you may get the 24 hours you need.

Maplin's have an igotu 100 for 30quid which I used for that purpose during
the great north swim. It will do 40 hours if set to record once a minute, or
several hours if set to 5 seconds recording.

The main downside is it does not use wais or its equivalent, so is not quite
as accurate as a wais unit.

I believe that use of WAAS (actually EGNOS) is incompatible with GPS power
saving modes and long battery life.
