Hello my name is Forensic and I have a few questions about GPS forensics.

I was reading the TomTom forensics pdf by Clara Maria Colombini.
What are informations leaving the device referred as original data?
Is information leaving the device or it stays on SD card or internal memory?
Can user password be found on a device that is not encrypted?
