About a week or so ago I discussed maps of Europe. I was given some good
advice on how to load them on my Nuvi 350 and it worked. I was prepared to
buy the maps on an SD card, but this was better.
I used the Nuvi on a trip a few days later and could barely read the screen.
Seems as though it is fading out a bit and in daylight, barely legible.
Night is OK. While it is bad luck to have something break, the good luck is
that it happened now and not after spending money on maps and still have to
buy a new unit.
I ended up with a 2370LT. I like it. Has more features than I'll ever use,
but it has the maps I need. The screen view seems better than the old and
it look easier to find the correct turn at intersections with a few options.
Seems more prcise. Until I take a longer trip, I won't know for sure how
all the features actually work. I've not set up the voice commands yet, and
I don't need it for Bluetooth as my car has it.
The lifetime traffic will probably never be used. My normal 25 mile commute
has very little traffic and no good options to re-route anyway. On days of
no traffic, it is 32 minutes. If I get stuck behind a slow truck or school
bus, it is 34 minutes. Maybe I'll try it one day going to Boston or
Hartford.
I bough tit from
www.megagps.com. They gave me some help in deciding what
to buy and offered a $5 coupon also. I could have saved a few bucks at
WalMart ship to store of Amazon, but I got good service with my questions
that the other guys could not answer. Two day delivery included too.
