We just received this for Christmas and I can't seem to figure out how
to use the compass once you set a waypoint. It reverts back to the
compass from the last geocache that we had loaded. I've tried to "go"
to the waypoint, select compass, and still reverts back. Not sure
what I'm doing wrong! Thanks.

I can't be bothered to look up the manual from Garmin and read it (I don't
have one) but if it is a basic model the compass doesn't tell you anything
unless you are moving. And you don't say what you are doing. Maybe you need
to get out more, as they say... ;-)

You have to be moving. Same for the "Road".

Sorry - should have been more specific. I've looked through the
manual, albeit not the whole thing. We are geocaching, and when I put
in a set of coorindates as a waypoint, I can't seem to get the compass
to come up once we're near GZ. It just goes to the compass of the
last geocache we were hunting. Thanks again.

Are you really talking about the compass?
This should always point north

BTW, the other postings are incorrect.
You do not have to move because the 62s has an electronic compass.
