Garmin etrex Vista HCx route function is broken

I created a route using 5 waypoints and clicked navigate. When I
arrived at the first waypoint, it didn't point to the next waypoint. I
set up off road transition to Distand at 50 yds but it didn't help
either.

Is my Vista HCx defective?
