- did you have WAAS enabled in your Venture?
- did you have the Venture set to battery save mode?
It's possible that your GPS is faulty.
Maybe a different firmware version would make a difference.
If you look at the GPS page on mywebsite you'll see a recent
section I added on "GPS reception in trees", using my
Venture to create the examples.
