Does Garmin still make any GPS devices (like my 276C) that use their
proprietary Garmin DataCards, or are all Garmin GPS's in production
using SD or MicroSD cards for map storage?

I don't think they do, and you may not want to use the overpriced junk
anyway.

I have couple either 1xxM (or 256M something like that?) and I paid around
$150 or more a pop. Now if you look in the floor around my desk you may see
few 1-2G cards I throw around.

For GPS and cell phone I use 8G on GPS, 32G on Smartphone, and SLDR
cameras.

I have seen the solution with 1 and 2 Gb data cartridges. It works! Cost is 2 Gb about $150.
