Garmin 45XL Personal navigator repair?

I have a Garmin 45Xl Personnel Navigator , I got when they first came out. It has seen very little use. It powers up on batteries,but cannot aquire satelites.Does anyone know where I can get it repaired?. Garmin refuses to work on it saying parts no longer avaiable.I paid quite a few bucks for this unit,when it came out. And can't belive Garmin refuses to help.
