It depends on the TomTom you own. On my One IQ Routes there was an
Europe (42 counties) map which was the maximum for the 2GB memory.
It was necessary to remove some synthetical voices to do the first
update !

Now there are different sections of Europe I can choose (5 groups)
with the update service because the total is about 2.4 GB. However
the download to the PC and then the upload to the device is rather
long (I did it for 2 different sections).

If you run the TomTom Home and connect also your device you can
see different maps proposed for updates or to buy.

I would like to borrow all the voices of the languages that don't interest me.
How can you know which languages correspond to each file named data19.chk and data19.vif?
Where is the list of correspondences number/language?

Use TomTom Home to manage the files and they will be kept on your PC
rather to be definitely erased. But be carefully that the .chk and
..vif files are the 'analogic' voices. The biggest ones are the
'synthetic' (or digital) voices (within the Loquendo_TTS folder).
If you have the 'text-to-speech' feature there are the only ones
you can use. This also means that if you want a simulation via
TomTom Home ...you haven't any voice output !

I have a Web page for some URLs ...but most are in French :
