Hi folks

I got a vista hcx a while ago and only ever used the gps and altitude functions. Now i need to be able to download waypoints to a basemap for an ecological survey. Unfortunately i have long ago lost the installation cd for the base maps (reportedly very rudamentary for ireland anyway).

I searched for a download but couldn't find anything from garmin (garmin support say that they don't support the product anymore so get stuffed or buy something else) - does anybody have any suggestions as to how i can get base maps/software onto which i can download waypoints, maybe using third party software?

thanks in advance
