I bought an etrex H today. Distance, speed etc. are displayed in miles. Ik
want to have it displayed in meters/ kilometers.
Ho do I change my settings?

From the Main Menu, try Setup, then Units. Distance/Speed is Statute from
the factory, but you can change it to Metric there.

Tristan Ast and a lot more I don't understand

You said you wanted to change the units, not the map datum.

So, don't mess with the map datum.
