Eliminate gravel roads

I have a Tomtom One, I live in a rural area. This GPS insists on
sending me on rough winding hilly gravel roads. I have tried both
settings (fastest and shortest). The shortest setting is worse, but
both insist on these back roads, and some of them are not even made
for driving with a 4WD pickup, much less a car. Is there ANY way to
tell this GPS to NEVER send me on a gravel road? And to that I must
add that I live on a gravel road, so I'd need a way to "accept" my own
road as "ok".

I have a feeling this is not possible, but I'm asking anyhow...
Thanks

Use the map correction feature to mark each of the roads that you wish to
avoid as having been closed. Do not Map Share those incorrect changes :-)

This is just the pathetic excuse for a troll, again.

I guess that would work on the routes I normally take, but I dont need
the GPS for those routes since I know them, and usually shut it off
when I know where I am. It's the other (NEW ROUTES) that I'm on, and
the GPS tells me to turn right, I do this, and instantly or after a
few miles of paved roads, I find myself on nasty gravel roads. I'd
like to tell the Tomtom to eliminate ALL gravel roads except the one I
live on, but that does not seem possible.

Possibly not.

My Tomtom used a dreadful unmade road as part of a "Shortest" route today.

I have selected "Ask me when there are unpaved roads on my route". Other
option are "Always avoid..." and "never avoid...".
in "Planning preferences". Not totally to be trusted...

It definitely is.

Sure, that can be appropiate if you have selected shortest.

But he claimed that it normally uses unsealed roads even when
you havent selected the shortest route and that is a bare faced lie.

I do use mine in an area with a lot of unsealed roads and sealed roads
and if I select fastest route, it hardly ever uses an unsealed road.

Not in the RG45 area; there are many houses in the wooded areas and few
'sealed' access roads so, either one travels by an 'unsealed' road,
regardless of road preference, or does not go by car

That cant be his personal situation otherwise he wouldnt
want to use sealed roads when they are available.
