I have an opportunity to buy a Maestro 3225.
I see vague references to "hard drive", but no actual
specification for such.
I want to put it on a motorycyle, and a mechanical hard
drive will never survive.
Anybody know?

Also, the seller claims to have lost the DC charger and
that a replacement causes the device to charge, but display
something about being in "computer mode" and won't navigate
and charge at the same time?
info on that?
Thanks, mike

there is no hard drive in the unit,is uses builtin flash memory to
store maps, there is also as sd slot for more storage but not needed.

the charging system uses a mini usb connector, if there is a signal on
the data pins it thinks it is connected to a computer. if just power
and no data then it charges and can be used to navigate at the same
time.
