How do I delete all 0 ft. leg length points in a track?
Filter - that has to be 1 ft or more.
seems like I should be able to sort by Leg Length then delete all
Zeros then just delete but How??

I'm fairly sure that GPSU could do that (http://www.gpsu.co.uk). You might
have to buy a licence, though.

You could use GPSBabel, with the position filter.

Its available in the GUI version, click the button for "Filters". The
position filter is in the section for waypoint filters, it seems it also
works fine with tracks.

You could also use M/S Excel. Save it as a tab delimited file and
open in Excel, then sort by Leg Length then delete all 0' entries.
Then resort by time and save.

I tried both Tab and Comma Delimitted and the Info was scrambled
just enough -mainly colum headers - to so far make it not worth while.

Ah, I see, that will work if the leg lengths are stored in the file rather
than being calculated by the display tool (as GPSU does).

Just download the track from the GPS to Mapsource T&WP manager.
Then open up the track. You will get the property window and you can go
through and delete the leg lengths you don't want.
There is also a feature were you can automatically delete the waypoints and
limit them to the max. 500 points.
You can also view all your track points in profile and see elevation change
over distance if you have altimeter data in your GPS,

Thousands of 0 ft legs!! Oh well

I ended up using WinGBD3 which pretty much got rid of the 0 Ft is
those also showed no speed and/or change in position.

I have my current project done though someday I's like to find
something that would let me easily take my GPS files and get rid of
these 0 Ft as well as speed, time and correct the elevation to known
ground elevation if/as known. And maybe 'coorect turns/curves that are
too tight as per my definition as well as give me the Winning Lotto
Numbers!!

It seems is if maybe Goole Earth would do some off those, but I
haven't played with that in ages.
