Good morning,

While living in the Philippines I loaded an Open Street Map of the
Philippines (no Garmin maps available). Now that I am back in Australia I
don't need it and thought I had deleted it but it still keeps coming up in
the boot-up window and when I go Tools>System>Map>MapInfo it is still
there.

The only .img files I can see are the GMAPprom.img (Aust & NZ 2012) and
gmapsupp.img( US 2012.3) on the memory card.

Any suggestions

OSM should be the gmapsupp.img file on the micro-SD card. What
makes you think it's "US 2012.3"?

To disable it, Tools / Settings / Map / Info. Then tick the map
you want displayed, and untick OSM.

Good morning,

Thanks for the reply. Checking the files with a Hex Editor(XVI32.exe) [
too big for a Text Editor]I can see what each file is in the code
contained in the first few lines of the file. I found the offending
Philippines one in the hidden folder .System. The US and Australian ones
are now in their right place eg, Garmin\.system and SD Card \Garmin.

Going Tools / Settings / Map / Info..... only deletes the reference to
the map file - not the actual file.
