I could buy a used 60CSx, but it comes with no maps... looks like all
new units use different kind of maps, and I fear that garmin would
discontinue such products updates... any info? thank you

nearly every Garmin map (except of newer bitmap maps) work with the 60CSx. I
use several Topo maps and City Navigator NT with my 60CSx
