I have used a TT One for several years. Today I was going about 20 miles
straight up I-45. The entire trip i was getting messages "In one quarter
mile exit right." After about every third message I got a chime.

Coming back, Tom got me through an intersection, and then the rest of
the way, the same thing happened.

Is Tom ready for professional mental help <g>

Tranquilizers might help ;-)

Is there a non-destructive reset procedure for the TomTom? (Or even
destructive, if you don't mind losing info & settings).

That might get it back to reasonable functioning. Or not, of course, but
one can hope...

My TomTom 130S seems to do some sort of reset when I connect it to my
computer. In particular, it seems to load software dedicated to computer
use. Then when I disconnect from my computer, it seems to load software
again. I suggest that the original poster try this.

Afterwards, just place the gadget on a sturdy cement floor and hit it
with your largest hammer. Damn that feels good.
