Try iGO for Android. It's a standalone program that uses GPS
satellites and built in maps. Go to their website to see if they have
anything for your display resolution.

Thanks, but I think that is uninteresting. They don't reveal the
capabilities of the program, like coverage. They write that it
works everywhere, but if that is not correct, they'd be outright
illegal in several countries because of false advertising.

The program is not in the Android Market. Why not?

Looks too fishy to me.

I have it on my Vibrant. They have maps for most of the countries. The Android version of the program
is a bit simplified and lack major options but it is still good.
