The AFLAC duck was voiced by Gilbert Gottfried. He was fired by AFLAC
for making insensitive jokes about the Tsunami in Japan. They are
looking for a new voice.

Also it is not his real voice. It's an act. His real voice is actually
very low and mellow. Google his name and "Howard Stern" and view the
YouTube clip of him speaking in his 'real' voice.

I guess you mean to say it's not his normal speaking voice, but it
most certainly is his real voice.

(Is there an echo in here?)

Something about talking critters. The Geico gecko got fired a few
months back for leaving nasty comments on a politician's answering
machine.

As for jokes about disasters. There were some good ones about
Chernobyl. My favorite is:

"How do you prepare Chicken Kiev? First, preheat Kiev to 500
degrees."

I guess that would not pass muster these days.
